Cotter Associates Ltd. provides environmental and health & safety consulting and management services to a wide variety of industrial clients. Mark Cotter, Ph.D., EP(CEA), EP(EMS-LA) is the principal of the firm.  Mark has extensive experience in a broad range of environmental consulting, including environmental management system development, environmental auditing, environmental due diligence in business transactions, and risk management.  He is a Certified Environmental Auditor and Environmental Management System Lead Auditor, credentials obtained through the Canadian Environmental Auditing Association and the Standards Council of Canada for the auditing of ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.

Dr. Cotter is a chemical engineer by academic training, and from 1996 to 2001 he was an Adjunct Professor at the University of Toronto in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry, where he developed and delivered a graduate course in Industrial Pollution Prevention.
